Family Physician - Long Term

Position Summary

The site GP plays a core role at Ponderosa Lodge by providing MRP and consultative care for inpatients. The patient caseload consists predominantly of geriatric residents as well as those needing 24-hour nursing care. The work is rewarding due to the MRP’s ability to have a direct influence on the quality of life as our seniors age. On-site hours are generally :00 Mon-Fri with after-hours On Call support required.

Schedule

Mon–Fri :00; after-hours on-call coverage is expected for all MRPs.

Qualifications

• Certificant of College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP) OR Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC)
• Doctorate in Medicine
• Eligible for licensure with CPSBC; Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association is mandatory
