Practice full service family medicine on beautiful Salt Spring Island! Join our collegial group of 7 physicians at the Salt Spring Island Health Centre. We have individual practices but collaborate often in the care of our patients. Dr. Paula Ryan is retiring after 25 years of practice and is looking for a physician to take her panel of approximately 650 patients. This practice represents all age groups from infants to seniors and is an excellent model of general rural family practice.
Physicians typically work 2-3 days in clinic plus 18-24 hours of ER call coverage per week. Physicians have the option to focus their practice more towards clinic-based work or acute care/ER as needed. Our large, bright clinic includes six exam rooms, and we are pleased to be set up to offer minor procedure services such as biopsies and excisions, IUD insertion, liquid nitrogen and IMS.
