Family Practice

Position Summary

We would like to welcome an additional GP to our clinic. We are a collegial working group who can help you design the practice you want, whether it be full spectrum care, or family practice with a special interest in geriatrics, pediatrics or obstetrics. Obstetrics is not required, but ER is required. We would expect a new physician to provide 3-4 Emergency shifts per month. Hospitalist opportunities occasionally arise in the regional hospital in Trail.

Practice Details

Our Emergency is open 7 days a week, 8 am-8 pm and shifts vary from 6-12 hrs. Trauma and after-hour Emergency visits go directly to the regional hospital in nearby Trail. We are supported by MDs from nearby communities when coverage is needed for ER. Inpatient beds are in Trail (25 minutes away) or in Nelson (40 minutes away) and we have two large long term care homes in Castlegar.
