SUMMARY: In-person and virtual coaching, mentoring, and support of teacher residency candidates in Far Rockaway, New York. Requires twice-monthly in-person visits to 1 Charter School and 2-3 NYC Public Schools in the Far Rockaway area of New York City.



JOB EXPECTATIONS:

Coaching, mentoring, community building, and supporting NYU Teacher Residency:
+ Observing in person and coaching five (5) Resident Teachers, mentoring and supporting School Based-Teaching Mentors, School Based-Residency Site Lead and interacting with School Leaders (an average of 1 hour per week in schools per resident teacher)
+ Interacting, advocating and messaging with Resident Teachers to problem solve around areas of practice and support their ongoing development
