Cox Communications is searching for a Field Engineering Operations Technician II. This role is responsible for configuring, installing, testing and activation of customer premise equipment including aggregate devices, routers, optical access, NID, and/or DWDM equipment that carries video, data, and/or telephony traffic. Utilizes various applications for implementation, service, test and acceptance (Remedy, Secure CRT, WebZING, Guardian,).
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Under minimal Supervision, Installs, disconnects, upgrades and performs migrations at customer premise applicable to complex services for all CB products and services which generally involve custom design and not HFC.
- Initially activates electronics by powering up the equipment via -48V or AC to ensure service.
