The Damen Support Programme (DSP) originated from the Development Action for Mobilization and Emancipation (DAMEN), founded in 1992 as a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Pakistan. Initially focused on empowering women and children through programs such as home school education and female entrepreneurship, it established a microcredit program in 1996 to promote economic activities for women in local communities. In 2014, DSP was formed as a separate legal entity to strengthen financial inclusion and enhance access to resources for marginalized communities, particularly women. As a Non-Banking Microfinance Company regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), DSP is dedicated to sustainable development and economic prosperity through financial inclusion and capacity building.
