Field Service Engineer - Automation - International - French Speaking - Home Based - Permanent
Salary: £50-60k base salary + overseas uplift + overtime (OTE £75-80k).
Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to support the commissioning, servicing and maintenance of automated systems across Europe and beyond. This role requires good, practical French and the ability to communicate technical detail in French on site. “Holiday French” will not be sufficient. The successful candidate will be hands-on, with a blend of electrical, controls and mechanical skills rather than a pure controls specialist. The role is home-based when not on site and involves international travel.
Key responsibilities
- Electrical and PLC commissioning using Siemens S7-1500 PLCs and TIA Portal (v18 / v19)
- PLC fault-finding on live systems (rather than full software development)
