Field service specialist - valves

Purpose of Role

The purpose of this role is to deliver expert onsite maintenance, repair and technical support for industrial valve systems to ensure safe, reliable and efficient equipment operation. The specialist diagnoses and resolves valve-related issues, providing technical guidance to customers and performs all work in line with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards and safety requirements.

Brief Duties and Responsibilities Precision fitting with reference to components assembly particularly bearings, both white metal sleeve type as well as normal roller and ball bearings as well as tilting pad arrangements. Precision measuring ability both inside and outside micrometers, verniers and depth gauges as well as telescopic gauges and DTIs. Sound engineering practices with regards to fitting of tolerance components such as sleeves, impellers, couplings, etc. (knowledge of fits and tolerances).
