Job Description

The role

As a Financial Accountant, you will be required to:

  • Prepare accurate year‑end financial statements, manage the year‑end audit process and contribute to ASIC's Annual Report financial disclosures

  • Assist with external reporting obligations, including Portfolio Budget Statements and monthly reporting to the Department of Finance and Treasury

  • Contribute to the timely and accurate completion of statutory and external reporting requirements in line with mandated deadlines

  • Provide technical accounting advice on complex and emerging issues, including interpretation of accounting standards and policies

  • Prepare and review month‑end journals and balance sheet reconciliations in ASIC's financial management information system
