Job Description

Job overview:
My client, a leading Accounting Firm, is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team in Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of annual financial statements (from source documents or trial balances)

Preparation of management accounts for a portfolio of clients

Preparation of accounting records from client-provided documentation

Completion and submission of company and trust income tax returns and VAT returns

Engage with clients professionally on deliverables and planning matters

Monitor budges and timelines for each engagement
Minimum requirements:
BCom Accounting degree or suitable equivalent (compulsory)

At least 5 years’ post-article experience (SAICA or SAIPA)

Software experience: Caseware Working Papers, Pastel, Sage, Xero, GreatSoft, MS Office Suite
