Financial Accountant

**GENERAL SUMMARY:**

Working closely with the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for a broad range of financial accounting duties, including financial reporting, preparation and maintenance of general ledger, month-end and year-end closing, budgeting and forecasting, internal controls and compliance, Taxation, and supporting the business team.

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Support the Finance Manager to oversee finance activities of ANZ business
+ Prepare and post journal entries including payroll journals, expenses, accruals, prepayments, consolidation elimination, one-off large transactions. Ensuring monthly results are reported accurately and on a timely basis
+ Prepare monthly P&L and Balance Sheet variance analysis and commentary
+ Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, ensuring data integrity and collaborating across functions (both finance and non-finance)
