Financial Controller - Nairobi - Kenya

The Financial Controller is responsible for overall financial control, cost management, food & beverage costing, policy compliance, and fraud prevention to ensure profitability and financial integrity of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Control & Reporting

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Ensure accurate, timely, and transparent reporting to management and ownership
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly financial reviews
• Monitor departmental expenses against approved budgets

Budgeting & Cost Reduction

• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts
• Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives across all departments
• Monitor fixed and variable costs and ensure optimal cost-to-revenue ratios
• Continuously work towards improving GOP and net profitability
