Fire Watch / Spotter – Rural Mowing Operations

We are currently hiring a Fire Watch / Spotter to assist with roadside and ditch mowing operations in Cypress County.

Responsibilities

• Monitor mowing operations for fire hazards and unsafe conditions
• Follow and support a tractor operating a 15’ offset batwing mower
• Maintain constant awareness of surrounding field and roadside conditions
• Read and follow rural maps and route layouts
• Watch for smoke, hot spots, and mechanical issues during operation
• Communicate clearly with operators and supervisors by phone/radio
• Perform basic equipment checks and assist with field support tasks
• Respond quickly and calmly in high-pressure situations
