Firefighter

**Summary**

The **Firefighter** is responsible for performing fire suppression and rescue activities as part of a response team at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and surrounding communities during mutual aid scenarios. Physical fitness and full duty status are essential. The Firefighter must wear protective gear, including structural bunker gear, HazMat suits, self-contained breathing apparatus, Class 3 harness, and other required ensembles.

**_NOTE: This position is part-time, on-call with no guarantee of hours._**

**_This role requires inperson work at our Cape Canaveral, FL facility. Only candidates who currently reside within a commutable distance will be considered._**

**Responsibilities**

+ Responds to fire alarms, operates auxiliary equipment, deploys hose lines, operates nozzles, directs water streams, raises ladders, climbs ladders, uses fire extinguishers, bars, hooks, ropes, and other equipment.
