Job Description

Duties Description Job duties will focus on participating in surveys for non-game bird and mammal species, including grassland birds, bats, nightjars, colonial waterbirds and woodrats. Other tasks will include data entry and quality control checking, assisting with various reptile and amphibian surveys, assisting with game management projects such as pheasant stocking, and answering questions from the public over the phone and in person, including questions about nuisance wildlife and hunting/trapping.

Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

- 30 semester credit hours, including 12 semester credit hours in fisheries, marine resources or wildlife management; mariculture; marine biology; aquaculture; aquatic, marine or terrestrial ecology; zoology; marine technology; botany; limnology; hydrology; or oceanography.

Preferred Qualifications

- Ability to identify birds of the Hudson Valley by sight and sound
