Job Description

1st Marine Engineer – Deep Sea Fishing Vessel

Sealord is a leading seafood company with over 60 years of experience in fishing, farming, processing, and marketing. We operate a fleet of deep‑sea fishing trawlers and are seeking a highly skilled Marine Engineer to join one of our vessels.

  • Crew flies from throughout New Zealand.
  • Take a pivotal role aboard a key vessel; work with a crew of 36–50.
  • Receive ongoing career development and support from the Skipper and Chief Engineer.
  • 120‑hour shifts: 12 hours on / 12 hours off with meals provided by experienced cooks.

You will hold a MEC 5 or 4/3 qualification and have proven experience managing mechanical and electrical performance of a vessel’s propulsion, fishing, processing and ancillary systems.
