Fitter / Machinist

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fitter / Machinist to join our Silos SA division, based at Sheaoak Log. Reporting directly to the Machine Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for machining tasks using CNC and manual equipment, as well as assembling, installing, repairing and maintaining mechanical components and systems. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong technical skills, problem-solving ability and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and specifications.
• Fabricate, modify, and repair mechanical components using lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills.
• Assemble machines and mechanical systems with precision, ensuring alignment and correct fit.
• Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of machinery to identify and rectify faults.
