Fitter - Pump Manufacturing

Purpose of Role:
Provide day to day support to the manufacturing team enabling them to fulfil their duties required for the business unit in order to meet deadlines and objectives. Maintain high standards of support in accordance with the Companys procedures. Conduct work activities in a professional manner that reflects positively on the image of the company and conforms to current Health and Safety legislation, upholding the Clients Health and Safety Policy.

Brief Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Pump Strip, Inspection and Assembly:

• Select and transport pumps to the workstation in line with job card routing and schedules using appropriate lifting equipment (crane/forklift).
• Strop pumps down to individual components using correct procedures and tools.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GA drawing and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances and assembly requirements.
