What You’ll Do

The Fixed Asset Accountant is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records of the company’s fixed assets, ensuring proper capitalization, depreciation, reconciliation, and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

• Maintain and update the fixed asset register (additions, disposals, transfers, and retirements)
• Record acquisition of assets and ensure proper capitalization in accordance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP)
• Calculate and post monthly depreciation entries accurately and on time
• Perform periodic physical inventory and reconciliation of fixed assets
• Reconcile fixed asset sub‑ledger to the general ledger
• Track asset tagging and ensure proper identification of company assets
• Process asset disposals, write‑offs, and impairment reviews
• Prepare fixed asset reports for management and auditors
