Job Description
Our Client, an AV Manufacturing company, is looking for a Fleet Support Engineer R&D for their Foster City, CA location. Responsibilities: Deep Root Cause Analysis (RCA):
+ Lead the investigation of critical failures on the R&D fleet, specifically targeting High Voltage (HV) isolation faults, Powertrain inverters/motors, and Chassis control systems.
+ Perform Layer 1 physical diagnostics using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and insulation testers to validate harness integrity and signal quality.
CAN & Network Debugging:
+ Analyze CAN bus traffic (using Vector CANalyzer, PCAN, or similar) to identify missing messages, error frames, or bus load issues causing system dropouts.
+ Debug HMI (Human Machine Interface) issues, ensuring driver inputs (stalks, screens, buttons) are correctly interpreted by vehicle controllers.
System Validation:
+ Validate fixes for hard-to-reproduce bugs involving thermal throttli...
