Flight Paramedic

Summary

Working under the direction of the Flight Nurse, the paramedic has the responsibility and accountability for assuring the delivery of quality care for a designated patient and/or group of patients in accordance with individual patient's needs, hospital and departmental policies and protocols, standards of care and established by EMS Commission and Flight Medical Director.

Education

High school diploma or GED required. Must have completed a State approved Paramedic course. Additional post high school education desirable.

Licensure/Certification

Meets Indiana State Paramedic guidelines and holds a valid state paramedic certification/license. Valid driver's license required. Must maintain current CPR, ACLS, and PALS or PEPP certifications.
