Forester

Job Summary

Forester works under the supervision of MEPEO. Forester Helps achieve annual commitments in all issued Special Tree Cutting Permits of the company. He/She is also responsible for the improvement and success of all rehabilitation efforts conducted by the company by applying high level but low-cost technologies and programs applicable in the mine site area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervising workers in planting, watering, pruning, fertilizing, and other tasks necessary for the care and maintenance of trees.
• Overseeing the inventory and ordering of supplies, such as seeds, seedlings, fertilizer, and equipment.
• Overseeing the establishment and maintenance of nurseries to grow and propagate native plant species for use in restoration projects.
• Monitoring and evaluating the success of restoration efforts and making adjustments as necessary.
