Position: Heavy Equipment Technician (Forklift Mechanic)

Pay Rate: up up to $35.00 per hour

Schedule: M-F 8am - 4:30pm

Job Description:

Forward Air, Inc. is looking for a self-motivated individual to join the maintenance team as a full time heavy equipment technician. Duties include all aspects of vehicles, trailers, and other mechanical equipment of Forward Air, while adhering to the compliance of all Forward Air Policies, safe work practices, and high customer service.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

+ Evaluate status of mechanical equipment, trailers and vehicles, and performs or schedules needed repairs

+ Maintain equipment according to DOT regulations

+ Perform routine truck, trailer, and/or forklift P.M.s

+ Responsible for Hydraulic and Transmission repair

+ Preventive maintenance
