For over 70 years, Empower Simcoe has specialized in providing a wide range of programs and services for people and families throughout Simcoe County. Founded by parents as a compassionate alternative to institutional care for people with intellectual disabilities, we have evolved into a dynamic network of services committed to fostering inclusion, independence, and meaningful connections for everyone we serve.

As a nonprofit organization, Empower Simcoe relies on the support of grants, donations, and the work of the Empower Simcoe Foundation to raise funds for special projects to respond to community needs and further our mission to enhance the quality of all lives. The funds raised by the Foundation support people with intellectual disabilities through supplementing government funding.
