Freight Risk Analyst – Commodities Brokerage Firm

The Role
We are seeking a commercially minded  Freight Analyst  to support our bulk logistics and shipping operations. This role focuses on analysing dry bulk freight risks, vessel performance, and freight costs across key commodity flows. You will provide market insight and data-driven analysis to support chartering, procurement, and operational decision-making.
 
Responsibilities:

• Analyse dry bulk freight rates, hire costs, and voyage economics across major vessel classes (e.g. Handysize, Supramax, Panamax, Capesize)
• Monitor market indices and benchmarks (e.g. BDI, time charter and voyage rates)
• Collect, process, and analyze large sets of market data (historical rates, volumes, vessel supply, fuel prices, etc.) to identify trends, anomalies, and potential trading opportunities.
