Freight Service Agent

<p>Performs a variety of customer service, administrative, and clerical duties requiring direct and indirect customer interface, and provides specialized assistance to customers in the clearance process._x000D_<br>_x000D_<br>1. Assists customers with general information regarding dispatching and rates. 2. Assists customers in paperwork completion, making outbound calls, as needed. 3. Checks packages to ensure proper labeling, legality of content including weight and size, proper wrapping, insurance values, special requirements for hazardous material shipments and compliance with Customs documentation required at destination. 4. Ensures all shipments are manifested. 5. Handles customers with packages in cage. 6. Solves and/or coordinates the solution of unique problems presented by customers which require special assistance. 7.
