Responsibilities Preparation and monitors plans to assess, improve or expand natural resources, and to alleviate or eliminate detrimental management impacts created by other resource uses upon the landscape. Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIA) to evaluate potential harm from new projects or activities. Use environmental modeling tools to predict the potential effects of pollutants or resource extraction. Conduct geological surveys to identify potential deposits of fluid minerals, geothermal reservoirs, or natural gas fields.
