Job Description

Summary A selectee receiving a first appointment to the Federal Government (Civil Service) is entitled only to the lowest step of the grade for which selected. The display of a salary range on this vacancy shall not be construed as granting an entitlement to a higher rate of pay. The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is April - February, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: June 2026 with a NTE of February 2027. Responsibilities Performs preservation trade work under the general supervision of a higher-graded employee or supervisor to restore, repair, and maintain historic structures and landscapes. Performs carpentry, plastering, painting, roofing, masonry, and related preservation work using standard methods and detailed instructions.
