Job Description
Assume a vital role as the Band Representative Manager for Biinjitiwaabik Zaaging Anishinaabek (BZA) in Rocky Bay, Ontario. This role is focused on preserving Indigenous culture while supporting families in the child welfare system.
Your responsibilities include advocating for children's rights and family unity while collaborating with Children’s Aid Societies. You will also manage financial processes, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting in alignment with Indigenous policies and community priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advocate for Indigenous culture within service delivery
• Facilitate communication with Chief and Council
• Coordinate community case conferences for effective service
• Track financial documentation and monitor budgets
• Ensure ongoing knowledge of relevant legislation
