Job Description

Be at the forefront of genetic diagnostics as a Clinical Laboratory Geneticist at BC Children’s and BC Women’s Hospital. This role emphasizes collaboration in pediatric and maternal-fetal genomic care.
As part of the Division of Genome Diagnostics, you will interpret complex genetic cases and ensure exceptional laboratory standards. In addition to direct patient consultancy, participate actively in teaching and lead research initiatives at the University of British Columbia, helping guide the future of genetic testing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide specialized consultative services in genetic testing
• Monitor compliance with CCMG/RCPSC regulations
• Initiate new test development and implementation
• Instruct and mentor students at UBC
• Participate in quality committees and laboratory initiatives
Requirements:
• Doctorate in Genetics or a related field
• Certified or eligible for certification in Molecular Genetics
