F/W 26/27 - Deck Lead

Purpose:
The Deck Lead provides administrative, operational, and instructional support for the Aquatics and First Aid under the direction of the Manager, Intramural Sports, Sport Clubs & Aquatics.

Education:
Successful completion of all York University required trainings, included but not limited to WHMIS, AODA, Violence in the Workplace, and Health and Safety Training.Current National Lifeguard - Pool Option if teaching aquatic-based courses.Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C or HCP from one of Lifesaving Society, Canadian Red Cross, Canadian St. John Ambulance or Canadian Ski Patrol.Aquatic Supervisory Training certification is an asset.

Experience:
Previous experience in an aquatics lead or instructor lifeguard position in a York Campus Recreation program is an asset.Experience in customer service, first aid, instructing/coaching, mentoring, or tutoring is an asset.
