Gastroenterologist – Taranaki Base Hospital. Fulltime 1.0 FTE, temporary 12 months with possibility of extension. Immediate start.

About the Role

We are seeking a consultant in General Medicine to provide high-quality, patient-centred care in our busy but supportive hospital setting. We are specifically looking for someone with a Gastroenterology focus, or a Gastroenterologist who is open to doing partial General Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute and inpatient care.
• Conduct outpatient clinics.
• Participate in the general medicine on‑call roster.
• Deliver high‑quality patient‑centred care.

Qualifications

• Vocationally registered (or eligible for registration) with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
• Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) or equivalent.
