Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust invites applications for five full-time Consultant Gastroenterologist posts across Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich and University Hospital Lewisham. These positions support our expanding Gastroenterology and Endoscopy services.

Positions

• 5 Consultant posts – 3 primarily at Queen Elizabeth Hospital; 2 at University Hospital Lewisham.

Main duties of the job

• Undertake high‑quality diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower GI endoscopy (including ERCP, nutrition, hepatology, small bowel/capsule, interventional techniques).
• Provide and manage out‑patient Gastroenterology service, including patient administration.
• Manage Gastroenterology in‑patients and participate in daily ward rounds.
• Attend weekly multidisciplinary and governance meetings.
• Contribute to the educational programme; supervise SpRs and trainees.
