Job description:
This role is designed to implement and manage the general accounting function by ensuring accurate reflection of the financial position, complying with all legal and internal requirements, and providing a sound basis for management interpretation.
Roles and Responsibilities
Perform month‑end transactional activities, including adjustments review, month‑end close procedures, cashbook processing, and preparation of balance reconciliations.
Complete and review bank reconciliations, ensuring all long‑outstanding and reconciling items are cleared timeously.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts within SLA timelines and follow up on unresolved items with Retain Finance.
Prepare monthly memorandums summarizing balance sheet reconciliation issues for review by in‑country or Retain Finance teams.
Review, approve, and post predefined manual journal entries with complete and accurate supporting documentation and narration.
