Job Description

The Emily Hobhouse Museum to be opened in St Ive, near Liskeard, Cornwall (UK), has an exciting opportunity for a General Manager. The role includes overseeing visitor attraction, the museum experience, kitchen garden and restaurant.
Requirements
A qualification in hospitality management or business management
Relevant experience in hotel management, restaurant management or visitor attraction
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills
Ability to manage a team
Some experience of financial management
Enthusiasm and the ability to maintain high standards under pressure
Fluent in English and Afrikaans
Interest in South African history will be to your advantage
Responsibilities
Building and leading a team of museum personnel across various departments (exhibitions, restaurant, maintenance)
Creating a pleasant guest experience
