Clutha Health First is a community-owned and operated Rural Hospital/Integrated Family Health Centre seeking a General Practitioner (GP) (salary negotiable) to expand its GP team. If you are dual trained as FRNZCGP and FDRHM specialist, this position offers the opportunity to support our 14-bed acute medical inpatient ward on a rotational basis.
We welcome clinicians with sub-specialty interests that benefit our community. Our Medical Assessment Unit, with 4 beds and 2 consultation rooms, operates daily from 09:00 to 18:00. On-site facilities include plain radiology, a community Awauni laboratory with POCT, and ultrasound support.
The inpatient unit has 14 acute beds. We employ 2 Medical Officers permanently, with weekends covered by locums and nights by Emergency Consult. As a dual-trained GP, you would be released from general practice to cover part of the Medical Officer's annual and study leave, offering a di...
