The Island Health Department of Psychiatry has a full-time opportunity for a psychiatrist in the beautiful community of Parksville. In this position you will provide consultation to patients and families/caregivers, primary care physicians and fellow health care professionals in an outpatient setting. The practice is located in the Oceanside Health Centre, which offers an interdisciplinary team environment comprised of physicians and all allied and community health care providers in one state‑of‑the‑art location serving the communities of Parksville and Qualicum Beach. You will be available to your registered outpatients, with coverage as needed. Community services may consist of attachment to community mental health and substance use treatment teams providing rehabilitation support and case management for adults or with consultation and psychiatric clinical services for primary care referrals.
