Sappi is offering a one-year internship for a recent graduate with a Geoinformatics or Environmental Science (majoring in GIS) degree to gain real-world experience in providing solutions for spatial data requirements in our Forestry division.

Our interns are supported by competent and committed mentors who will guide your programme and development during the year.

Location: Shaw Research Centre - Tweedie
The main
responsibilities of the job:
- Investigate, analyse and provide solutions to spatial data requirements.
- Assist in maintaining spatial data and various spatial analyses.
- Provide service to Sappi business units regarding spatial queries.
- Complete basic remote sensing analytics.
The ideal candidate must have:
- Degree in Geoinformatics or Geography or equivalent with GIS as a major subject
- No prior experience required
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint,...
