Geographic Information System Specialist - Contract

What You’ll Do Reporting to the Land Use Planning Manager, the GIS Specialist is responsible for maintaining the ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise platform and service infrastructure. This role encompasses tasks related to data integrity and system optimization, troubleshooting technical issues and providing user support. The Specialist also plays a crucial role in ensuring the security, modernization, and technical roadmaps of the platform, implementing measures such as SSL certificates and regular software updates. Collaborating with IT teams, the incumbent integrates ArcGIS with other enterprise systems and may develop customized tools and workflows to enhance platform functionality. The position demands a blend of technical proficiency, GIS expertise, and project management skills, contributing to successful GIS projects while staying abreast of the latest advancements in GIS technology.
