Summary This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management, Division of Lands & Minerals, CARLSBAD, NEW MEXICO. We expect to fill 1 vacancy/vacancies at this time; however, additional positions may be filled from this announcement if they become available. Responsibilities Independently plans, conducts, and prepares reports and decisions affecting mineral development projects. Prepares subsurface contour maps and cross sections of oil and gas fields and mineral deposits based on correlation and interpretation of geophysical well logs, seismographic data, and geostatistical data in manual and electronic database formats. Provides geologic data and analysis to support calculations of resource and fair market values of tracts offered for mineral leasing or disposal, this includes both solid and fluid minerals.
