Strives to achieve assigned district/area sales goals through the effective management of sales representatives. This is the first level of sales management and may personally have a few selected accounts. Major emphasis is on management with a largely tactical focus. Support staff may be limited. Provides day-to-day supervision of activities including training, manpower planning, motivation, and performance evaluation of sales representatives and support personnel. Directs the flow of information for sales activities and transactions, including leads, billings, orders, contracts, etc., and evaluates data to ensure district/area goals are met. Ensures sales objectives are met within organization strategies and maintains coordination with integral organization functions.
