GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT

Summary About the position: This is a NAF Career Program position assigned to Scott, AFB, IL. This is a Regular Full Time (RFT) position with benefits (medical, dental, life insurance, retirement, 401(k), and annual/sick leave. Responsibilities Responsible for the efficient and effective operation of a golf course maintenance program which includes: golf cart fleet, golf course greens/tees, practice areas, ranges, irrigation systems, clubhouse grounds and landscaping, on course restroom facilities, wooded areas, unused acreage and maintenance vehicles and equipment. Plans all maintenance and project work, applying agronomic and administrative expertise to achieve maintenance standards and long-range goals. Diagnoses deficiencies relative to soil disease, desiccation, winter kill, erosion and impact or error in maintaining a complex mix of soil and plant needs for greens, fairways, roughs, trees, scrubs, foliage, ground covers and ornamentals.
