With a ‘recorded’ population of 2145, the town boasts a Catholic Primary School, Community College, TAFE & Sports grounds. There’s six restaurants and food outlets in addition to the local RSL Club, News agency and National Australia Bank. Relax and unwind in the Artesian Bore baths at a naturally heated temperature of around 42C. Take the fishing rods as this is the perfect river town where you can drop in a line. Experience the cultural houses and museums where there is an extensive collection of local Aboriginal arts, crafts, and jewellery as well as plenty of colonial history to take in.
