Graduate Merit Scholarship

Purpose

The prestigious SUTD Graduate Merit Scholarship (SUTD-GEMS) is a talent development scheme which aims to attract young exceptional Singaporean graduates with an aptitude for teaching and research in technology & design, to embark on an academic career with SUTD by pursuing doctoral studies at top overseas Universities.

The scholarship will provide monthly stipend and allowances during the PhD Programme in the Host University, and envisages future employment in SUTD. The SUTD–GEMS is tenable for a period of up to 5 years.

Eligibility Criteria

• Singapore Citizen
• Singapore Permanent Resident may apply, but would have obtained Singapore Citizenship by the time of receiving the award
• has outstanding undergraduate academic records (at least a Bachelor's degree with 2nd Upper Honours)
• is applying / has accepted an offer to study / is currently pursuing their doctoral degree in a top overseas university
