 Requirements   Minimum Grade 12 Matric certificate with pure Mathematics and a Science subject result of 65% or greater  
 Must be willing to train in any one of the following trades: Aircraft Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Automotive Electrician, Aircraft Sheet Metal  
 The desire to complete the Basic Training with diligence and effort, the willingness to participate in hands‑on maintenance on live aircraft during scheduled breaks from the Basic Training provider  
 Must be unemployed and willing to complete a 3‑year apprenticeship program
