Grounds Person

+ Perform all required ground duties in support of specific job assignments, as directed by crew leader.

+ Assist in the performance of specialized pruning and take-downs, installing cabling and bracing.

+ Safely operate equipment.

+ Participate in all job site safety briefings.

+ Perform proper felling, limbing and bucking techniques with a chainsaw.

+ Perform pruning from the ground with hand tools and pole saws, application of approved rigging techniques and knowledge of standard knots.

+ Assist with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties.

+ Perform ground duties such as job site set up and clean up as required.

Requirements

+ Previous industry experience is desired, but willing to train right candidate.

+ Knowledge of pruning techniques including large shade trees and ornamentals.

+ Ability to operate chainsaw, chipper, stump grinder and log mover.
