Group Tax Accountant

Ascent Recruitment is pleased to exclusively support a fantastic Wilmslow-based business in the search for a Group Tax Accountant.
This is a broad and visible role within Group Finance, supporting the business across both direct and indirect tax.
You’ll play a key part in ensuring tax compliance obligations are met, supporting statutory reporting, and helping to strengthen and improve the Group’s tax control environment.
This role would suit either a qualified, or part qualified 1st time mover from practice or someone with industry experience in corporate tax and an interest in developing broader exposure across VAT and group tax matters.
Key responsibilities include:
* Corporation tax compliance across the Group
* Preparation and submission of UK corporation tax returns
* Preparation of UK VAT returns
* Tax disclosures for Group and subsidiary statutory accounts (IFRS)
