Halal Quality Assurance Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES

Regular duties (daily/periodically)

• Conducts chemical and sensory evaluation of food products.
• Utilize/apply uniform methods of analysis consistently in order that comparable, accurate, and reproducible results may be assured.
• Conducts real‑time stability testing of food products in terms of physic‑chemical and organoleptic properties which would serve as a basis for possible shelf‑life extension.

Duties that occur at irregular intervals but have a recurring nature

• Facilitates 3rd party calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Conducts calibration of weighing scales, thermometers, and pH meter.
• Monitors inventories of QA supplies, laboratory equipment and instruments, glassware, media, and chemicals.
• Analysis of retained samples when necessary.
