Handwork Operator

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform manual hand work of optical lenses in accordance with defined process specifications.
• Use appropriate polishing pads, slurries, and hand tools based on job requirements.
• Control and adjust pressure, motion, and polishing time to achieve target optical performance and surface quality.
• Inspect lenses for scratches, pits, hairlines, surface defects, and parametric compliance.
• Document production and inspection results to ensure quality and traceability compliance.
• Follow established work instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines.
• Report any process abnormalities, defects, or tool/equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Coordinate with the team for rework, corrective actions, and process improvements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, tools, and materials.
