Hatchery Man

Key Task Responsibilities:

• Coordinates with Production Supervisor for proper identification of DOC by source, strain, lots and by age groupings.
• Ensures that DOC's are inspected by QC Crews for quality and correct counting.
• Conducts chick quality assessment using PASGAR Scoring Method and chick length scoring.
• Ensure proper chick storage thru rectal temperature determination.
• Supervises vaccination of DOC as requested by the CG Department and ensures that vaccination used are cleaned and sterilized properly.
• Ensures compliance of the vaccinators and QC crews to company policies, rules and regulations.
• Monitors and checks proper cleaning and disinfection of chick crates and proper preparation for trimmings.
• Monitors and prepares vac-med inventory report (daily, weekly, and monthly basis).
